Empower (Ex-Offenders Programme)

16-65 years

The Service:


Empower Project provide a bespoke service to support ex-offenders and/or people that have been in contact with the law in Southwark to gain the skills, confidence and understanding needed to secure a sustainable and appropriate job/career and support them into employment.

Clients are allocated an Adviser that will provides
• One to one support
• Tailored and personalised action plan
• Information, Advice and Guidance
• Identify transferable skills (Skill health check)
• Confidence building and motivation
• Job search support and job brokerage service
• Discretionary financial support towards training, travel and interview clothing
• Accredited and non-accredited training

Who is the service for?


This service is for Southwark residents only

 

Criteria for access to service



Access through eligibility only. Eligibilities are:-
Southwark Residence
Unemployed or working less than 8 hours
Can be referred by other agencies or self-referred


Accessibility of this service


Accessibility at both Pecan Office, Peckham and Southwark Works Office, Elephant and Castle. Monday to Friday. 9.30 – 5.00
Both offices have access for physical accessibility (wheel chair)


How this is provided:


This service is provided through a process of referral, assessment, development and support by Pecan in partnership with JCCP.
